To work towards alleviating poverty, deprivation and discrimination in rural India through sustainable and participatory bottom-up development; and to preserve and maintain traditional cultures.

Annual Fundraiser

The ‘Gully Group’ formed over 10 years ago when Ferntree Gully families started fundraising for Prabhat Alloi. Each year the Gully Group has conducted a fundraising venture at the local Mumbai Grill Indian restaurant: https://mumbai-grill.com.au/ This event supports Prabhat Alloi and Learning and Ideas of Tibet. For those in Melbourne, you are very welcome to join us at:

Dinners – Mumbai Grill, 42 Forest Rd, Ferntree Gully
Parking – Behind the restaurant or FTG train station
Time – 7 pm
Dates – Look out for dates in 2024 (March/April)
Cost – As per menu
RSVP – restaurant, 9752 3443, by Wednesday prior to dinner and please mention you are booking for the Gully Group.

Vision

Independent sustainable development in villages, with the objectives of:

• Facilitating training in project management;
• Supporting independent sustainable development in the project area;
• Supporting the establishment of necessary infrastructure and utilities, maximizing uses of resources and energy;
• Caring for children through the provision of basic needs including safety, housing, health and education;
• Supporting the development of a sustainable local economy;
• While encouraging the maintenance of existing culture.
